Common Ground Coffeehouse

Date: Friday, September 15, 2017
Time: 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

This Friday, June 22, the Common Ground Coffeehouse presents Will Houlihan (Haunt the House). Here’s an excerpt from a long article in SoRhodeIsland: “One could argue that he got two lifetimes worth of whatever it is that drives other songwriters in just one decade…He turned it into something powerful, which isn’t to say he’s not a little bit broken – after all, a man who sings like he does can’t be faking it – but he’s too humble to brag about being stronger for it, or for saying that his music hits somewhere close to where a cynic like me might think faith belongs, which isn’t surprising considering how significant a role his own beliefs play in his life and his music. ‘[My faith is] inextricable from my personality,’ Will says. ‘I see it as something integral to my being an artist. If I didn’t have that, I don’t know how inspired I’d be.’”

All welcome at 6:30 for a free supper (along with a good number of internationals) or join us at 7:00 for coffee and cookies. No charge, but donations for the musicians are appreciated. Please sign up in the Fellowship Hall bulletin board to bring a light entrée or dessert for a coffeehouse night.
