Common Ground Coffeehouse

Date: Friday, September 15, 2017
Time: 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

This Friday, March 2, the Common Ground Coffeehouse presents the darkly comic drama Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri at 7:15 p.m. After months have passed without a culprit in her daughter's murder case, a grieving and angry mother makes a bold move, painting three signs leading into her town with a controversial message directed at the town's revered chief of police. The film has earned seven Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, and performances by Frances McDormand as the mother and Woody Harrelson as the chief. (Rated R for violence, language throughout, and some sexual references).

Note: We will start the entertainment at 7:15 from now on, to allow folks arriving on the last boat to join us.

Many thanks to all who have provided food for the suppers before past coffeehouse programs. Please sign up to bring a hot entrée or baked goods on the sign-up sheet in the Fellowship Hall. With or without hot food at 6:30 p.m., coffee and dessert will be served just before the film. Once again, Pat Tengwall is our film series presenter and projectionist.
