Harbor Church is a warm community of faith which seeks to serve the entire island as followers of Jesus Christ. We are affiliated with American Baptist Churches, but our membership includes persons of many denominations and we welcome visitors from all over to our services. Sunday morning Worship is at 10:00am year-round, with Children's Adventure Hour embedded, followed by a coffee hour.

 

Our new Pastor, Peter Preiser, Jr, and his wife, Carrie Johnson, joined us in September, 2018 and were warmly welcomed by the church and island community!

Harbor Church hosts many community groups in our facilities, including: AA meetings, BIRA, Bridge Club, Prayer Shawl Ministry, Ecumenical Choir, Helping Hands Food Pantry and Block Island Boy Scouts. The Spring Street Art Gallery (aka The Barn) is housed in our old barn, located behind the church. In addition we host the town-run Rec Center for teens during the school year and operate the International Students Center in summer. Vacation Bible School runs for a week in early August (look for updates in the spring!)

On Friday nights we host The Common Ground Event Series. From Mid-October through the end of May this series is "A Movie and a Meal" featuring dinner and a weekly film, or family friendly Game Night! also including a meal. From May through mid-September the series changes to a live, original music, singer/songwriter concert series and includes refreshments. The Common Ground Event Series is from 6:30-8:30 on Friday nights throughout the year.
